WATERLOO, ON, February 1, 2015 – Data analytics technology is critically changing all areas of our business. From marketing to operations; data informs most of our strategic business decisions but only recently has it permeated human resources. In a report by Deloitte, 94% of Executives stated that workplace culture is important to business success. In the same report, it was noted that those same executives have a different view of their culture as compared to their employees. In 2012, Plasticity Labs saw this gap and began developing software to help. The technology measures culture to inform leaders of their current and ongoing social/emotional state, and to improve employee happiness at work.
In an effort to provide 1 billion people with the tools to live a happier, high-performing life, starting at work, Plasticity Labs and Shawn Achor decided to join forces. With Shawn and his consulting firm, GoodThink who are on a mission to “bridge the gap between academic research and the real world” it made perfect sense for these two teams to align.
